1:5 Now Adonijah, son of David and Haggith, ¹  was promoting himself, ²  boasting, ³  “I will be king!” He managed to acquire ⁴  chariots and horsemen, as well as fifty men to serve as his royal guard. ⁵

9:19 all the storage cities that belonged to him, ⁶  and the cities where chariots and horses were kept. ⁷  He built whatever he wanted in Jerusalem, Lebanon, and throughout his entire kingdom. ⁸

10:26 Solomon accumulated ¹²  chariots and horses. He had 1,400 chariots and 12,000 horses. He kept them in assigned cities and in Jerusalem. ¹³

11:24 He gathered some men and organized a raiding band. ¹⁴  When David tried to kill them, ¹⁵  they went to Damascus, where they settled down and gained control of the city.

15:19 “I want to make a treaty with you, like the one our fathers made. ¹⁶  See, I have sent you silver and gold as a present. Break your treaty with King Baasha of Israel, so he will retreat from my land.” ¹⁷
